Understanding Your Logo Files + FREE Cheat Sheet

Your logo design is more than just a pretty picture. It's a set of files that form the foundation of your brand's visual identity. These files ensure your logo looks its best everywhere, from your website to printed materials.

When you receive your logo files from Aurange Creative, you'll find them organized into folders. Here's what you'll see:

  • Logo Variations: This folder contains different versions of your logo, such as horizontal, vertical, and brandmark formats.
  • Color Spaces: You’ll see Digital and Print folders. The Digital folder contains files optimized for digital use, including websites, social media, and online presentations. These files use the RGB color space. The Print folder contains files optimized for print, such as business cards, brochures, and merchandise. These files use the CMYK color space.
  • Color Variations: Inside the color variations we include the full color version of your logo as well as inverse, black and white.

Within each color variation folder, you'll find the following file formats:

  • AI: The original Adobe Illustrator file, ideal for editing and scaling.
  • EPS: A versatile vector format suitable for both print and digital use.
  • SVG: A web-friendly vector format that supports animation and interactivity.
  • PDF: A portable document format that preserves the original design elements.
  • JPG: A raster format commonly used for images with a wide range of colors.
  • PNG: A raster format that supports transparency, making it ideal for logos with backgrounds.
